NASCAR at Pocono 2019: Schedule, lineup, TV and weather for Gander Outdoors 400
It’s race day at Pocono Raceway, and we've got all the information you need to get ready for Sunday's Gander Outdoors 400, the 21st race in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series:
START TIME: 3 p.m. ET. GREEN FLAG: 3:18 p.m. ET.
Brian Quinn, representing Gander RV, will instruct drivers to start their engines at 3:07 p.m. ET.
TV: NBCSN. Pre-race broadcast begins at 2:30 p.m. ET.
RADIO: Motor Racing Network. STREAMING: For those who sign in with their cable/satellite provider's credentials, you can watch at stream.nbcsports.com.
RACE DISTANCE: 160 laps around the 2.5-mile track for a total of 400 miles.
STAGE LENGTHS (laps per stage): Stage 1: 50, Stage 2: 50, Stage 3: 60.
NATIONAL ANTHEM: Ellen Kane will perform the anthem at 3:01 p.m. ET, followed by a flyover by four F-16C Fighting Falcons of the 177th Fighter Wing of the New Jersey Air National Guard.
WEATHER: Pretty ideal. The Weather Channel is calling for partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the low 80s, dropping down to the high 70s closer to the checkered flag. There is a 25-35% chance of precipitation and a small possibility of isolated thunderstorms.
LAST TIME: Kyle Busch has won the most recent two races at "The Tricky Triangle." On June 2, Busch led 79 laps, topping Brad Keselowski by 2.224 seconds. And one year ago on July 29, Busch led 52 laps, topping Daniel Suarez in overtime by 1.788 seconds. Suarez's runner-up finish is his best career result in the Cup Series.
BOWMAN: Hendrick Motorsports driver buoyed by win but still driver by doubters
LINEUP: Kevin Harvick followed up his first win of the season, last weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, by taking the top qualifying spot. Harvick will be joined on the front row by reigning series champion Joey Logano.
