John Wall of Wizards to miss Game 3 against Atlanta Hawks with wrist injury
Washington Wizards guard John Wall will miss Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Atlanta Hawks, Wizards coach Randy Wittman announced Saturday.
Wall was injured when Washington won on the road in Game 1 of the best-of-seven series. He sat out the second game as the Hawks evened the series at 1-1.
The team announced after Game 2 Wall had five non-displaced fractures in his hand and wrist and his status was uncertain for the rest of the playoffs.
Wall has been fantastic for Washington in the playoffs. Through the first five games of the postseason, all victories by the Wizards, Wall has averaged 17.4 points, 12.6 assists and 4.6 rebounds.
Game 3 will be played Saturday night in Washington.
