Khloe Kardashian opens up about Lamar Odom's health scare and their future

Khloe Kardashian opened up about why she rushed to the side of her estranged husband after he was hospitalized in Las Vegas earlier this month and addressed the status of her marriage with the former NBA star.

"All I knew was I had to get there," Kardashian told People in an interview with the magazine. "I had to get to him and make sure he was okay. I hate that he was in that situation. I wouldn't want anybody in that situation, especially someone I love and care about."

Kardashian said despite the withdrawal of their divorce filing last week, there are no plans for the couple to reconcile.

"There are too many other important things, too many medical things," she said.. "It's not even in our brains thinking about us as a couple or having a relationship right now."

Her focus, she said, is on helping Odom deal with the impact of the medical emergency at a Nevada brothel that left him unresponsive before being taking to a hospital in Las Vegas. He has since been transferred to a hospital in Los Angeles where he continues his recovery. Odom's college coach Jim Harrick revealed there are concerns about the long-term impact to his kidneys and lungs.

"There is a very long road ahead of [Lamar]," Kardashian said. "He has to walk that road by himself, and, most importantly, he has to want to walk that road. I will be there supporting him every step of the way."
