Thunder's Kevin Durant strains left hamstring in blowout victory over Wizards

WASHINGTON – Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star Kevin Durant sustained a strained left hamstring late in the first half of Tuesday’s 125-101 blowout victory over the Washington Wizards and said he will undergo an MRI on Wednesday to determine the extent of the injury.
“It’s a little sore man, but I’ll get it checked out,” said Durant who did not play in the second half because of the injury. “I’ll see what it’s looking like after that.”
Jones fractures in his right foot limited Durant to 27 games last season and when asked if his experience last season would make him more cautious with the sore hamstring, Durant said, “"Long process of me getting back and then get hurt again is unfortunate but whenever I'm ready to play again, I'll play."
It appeared Durant injured his hamstring with 54.2 seconds left in the first half. On a drive to the basket, he was fouled by Washington’s Kris Humphries, and Durant immediate reached for the back of left leg after he landed.
“I came down a little awkward, and I landed on it harder than I wanted to and I pulled it,” he said.
Durant stayed in the game, made two free throws and stayed on the court for the remainder of the quarter. However, he didn’t return to the court after halftime, and Kyle Singler started the second half in his place. Durant finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
