NBA dunks of the week: Zach LaVine and Aaron Gordon at it again
From all of the rim-rattling, posterizing throw downs that we've witnessed over the past seven days, these five dunks were our picks for NBA Dunks of the Week.
(Dunks from Monday, March 7 through Sunday, March 13)
Honorable mention: Will Barton
"Will the Thrill" was far from thrilling at the dunk contest during All-Star weekend, but the dual candidate for Sixth Man of the Year and Most Improved Player reminded us that he can still jump with the best of them with this should-have-been-and-one.
5. LeBron James • Off-the-backboard
Looks like the king still has some spring. This wasn't LeBron's first off-the-backboard jam of his career, but it may have been the prettiest.
4. Julius Randle • Over Tristan Thompson
Remember last season when Julius Randle broke his leg in the opening game of his NBA career? Yeah, his recovery went just fine.
3. Josh Richardson • Over Greg Monroe
Greg Monroe has never been known for his defense, but even the NBA's best rim protectors couldn't have slowed down J-Rich 2.0 on this one-handed jam.
2. Zach LaVine • 360
The two-time slam dunk champ gives us a gem just about every time he steps on the floor, and it was more of the same this week. The most impressive part of his continued dunking dominance? He makes it look so easy.
1. Aaron Gordon • Windmill
It's not very often that you see an in-game dunk that would warrant a perfect score in the dunk contest. Well, that's what Aaron Gordon did this week, channeling his inner Dominique Wilkins to throw down this perfectly executed windmill.
