Klay Thompson suffers thigh contusion, returns in second quarter

Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson left to the locker room late in the first quarter of Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night after running into the knee of Cavs' Timofey Mozgov.

He limped to the locker room, but returned to the court a few minutes later with an ice pack on his thigh. The injury was classified as a left thigh contusion and he returned to the game with just over seven minutes to play in the second quarter. He had 0 points on 0-of-5 shooting at the time of the injury.

After returning, Thompson scored 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting, but the Cavaliers went into the half with a 51-43 lead.
