NBA exec's wife sends controversial tweet regarding Draymond Green ruling
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was suspended by the NBA on Sunday for making "unnecessary contact with a retaliatory swipe of his hand to the groin" of LeBron James in Game 4 of the Finals on Friday night, and it looks like an individual close to the ruling may not have been a fan of the decision.
The day before the ruling was made, Peggy VanDeWeghe — the wife of NBA Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Kiki VanDeWeghe — sent out a brief but controversial tweet pertaining to the ruling, which was announced by her husband nearly 24 hours later.
The tweet, which was later deleted, read:
"Just got in a #MaritalArgument over #NBAFinals re: @KingJames & @Money23Green altercation! @ramonashelburne @ESPNSteinLine What's your take?"
None of the individuals tagged (James, Green, ESPN's Ramona Shelburne and ESPN's Marc Stein) responded.
The NBA was made aware of the tweet.
