Isaiah Thomas: Klay Thompson is the best shooter in the world
Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson went off in the first half of Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night, and Boston Celtics All-Star Isaiah Thomas took notice.
At the end of the first half, a half in which Thompson scored a game-high 26 points on 8-of-12 shooting (6-of-8 from three), Thomas took to Twitter to share his thoughts on just how good the second Splash Brother is.
It's not a farfetched statement by any means, but there's another Warriors guard that may beg to differ.
Thompson finished the game with 37 points in 11-of-20 shooting, but it wasn't enough to overcome Kyrie Irving and LeBron James (82 combined points). The Cavs went on to win 112-97, forcing a Game 6 in Cleveland on Tuesday.
As for Irving, Thomas took notice of his stellar game, too.
