Fan remains hospitalized after fall from second deck of arena at Game 7

A fan who tumbled off the second deck at Oracle Arena after Game 7 of the NBA Finals on Sunday remained hospitalized, according to a statement provided by Oakland police to Paste BN Sports.

A man in his early 20s was involved in an altercation when he fell to the first deck after the Cavaliers' win against the Warriors, according to a statement issued after the game by Oracle Arena spokesperson Chelsea Nice. An Oakland police spokesperson offered no further details late Monday night, other than that the man remained hospitalized.

The man was in critical-but-stable condition when he arrived at a nearby hospital.

NBC Bay Area reported Oakland police launched a felony assault investigation and authorities were reviewing footage of the incident.
