Pelicans to open preseason with game against Mavericks
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The New Orleans Pelicans says the team will open the preseason on Oct. 1 with a game against the Dallas Mavericks at the CenturyLink Center in Bossier City, Louisiana.
In a statement Tuesday, General Manager Dell Demps says they're looking forward to returning to the area to play in front of Pelicans fans in north Louisiana. He says the Shreveport-Bossier City Sports Commission did a tremendous job hosting the team two years ago and described the fan support as incredible.
