Damian Lillard says he's being forced to remove Lil Wayne from rap album

Damian Lillard announced that he's being forced to remove four-time Grammy Award-winning artist Lil Wayne from Loyal to the Soil — a song on his recently released 12-track rap album, The Letter O — per the request of Wayne's label.

Lillard, who has received widespread praise from fellow NBA players for the album, shared the news on Twitter Tuesday night.

"Despite my agreement with Wayne, his parent label is forcing me to remove him," Lillard tweeted.

The album is currently fifth on the iTunes hip-hop/rap charts. Loyal to the Soil is the most popular track on the album, according to iTunes.
