Russell Westbrook sent a message to ex-teammate Kevin Durant by viciously volleyball-spiking one of his shot attempts away late in the second quarter of Thursday night's heavyweight bout between the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder.
But two possessions later, Durant responded right back, swatting a Westbrook layup attempt out of bounds (with a little help from Draymond Green).
You can't make this stuff up.
It was Durant who got the last laugh, though, scoring a game-high 39 points to help lead the Warriors to a runaway 122-96 victory.
