Watch: Shaquille O'Neal, Kendrick Lamar star in American Express commercial

NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal has teamed up with American Express to star in a commercial series with a handful of celebrities — starting with Grammy Award-winning artist Kendrick Lamar — to encourage cardmembers to shop local and support small businesses.

In the first ad, O'Neal and Lamar visit Soaptopia — a handmade soap company based in Mar Vista, Calif.

Surprise ... it's hilarious.

When talking with Paste BN Sports, the 15-time All-Star — who noted that he's been an American Express cardmember since 1992 and actually made a three-year purchase at Soaptopia — assured us that there are more commercials on the way with "top-10 A-Listers, not just regular people."

"These are people that, once you see the spots, you'll be like, 'Oh my God, they should do a movie together.' "
