By the numbers: Giannis Antetokounmpo's rise to stardom

Giannis Antetokounmpo is emerging as a legitimate NBA star, and his rise can't be stopped.

In Wednesday's win over the Portland Trail Blazers, the 6-foot-11 point-forward-center strung together his second triple-double of the season — and the seventh of his young NBA career — to help lead the Milwaukee Bucks to their fifth win in six games.

Per the Elias Sports Bureau, he's only one triple-double away from tying Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most in Bucks history. Abdul-Jabbar played 524 games with Milwaukee. Antetokounmpo has only played 264.

But that doesn't even begin to tell the full story of the sheer dominance the 22-year-old stat-stuffing phenom is capable of.

  • He's leading the Bucks in points (22.0), rebounds (8.9), assists (6.1), steals (2.2), blocks (2.3), plus-minus (+3.7), free throws made (5.5), field goals made (8.0), true shooting percentage (59.5%), usage (28.0%), minutes (35.0), points off turnovers (4.9), second chance points (2.8), fast break points (5.6) and points in the paint (13.4).
  • He's the only player in the NBA averaging at least 20 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks.
  • He has three career games with at least 10 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, three steals and three blocks, which, according to Elias, makes him the only player other than Chris Webber (1995, '96, '99) with as many such games since the league started recording steals and blocks in the 1973-74 season.
  • On Nov. 30, he became the only player in the past 30 seasons under the age of 22 (other than LeBron James) to record 30 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and five steals in a game.

Not convinced he's off the charts? Then check out some charts.

And some highlights, for good measure.

The scariest part? He's only 20 games into his fourth season. He's only going to get better. And better. And better.
