Ex-Jazz point guard Trey Burke: 'No one wants to play' in Utah

Former Utah Jazz guard Trey Burke said in a rebuttal tweet that “no one wants to play” in Salt Lake City.
His tweet came in response to a fan discussing the Jazz’s struggles in free agency that said Burke “wasn’t talented enough."
Another Twitter user asked Burke why he thinks no one wants to play in Utah, to which Burke referenced Jazz fans burning Gordon Hayward jerseys after the All-Star forward opted to leave for the Boston Celtics on July 4.
Utah’s offseason has been far from ideal, starting with Hayward’s departure, as well as point guard George Hill's decision to head to Sacramento and play with the Kings.
Burke, an unrestricted free agent who spent last season with the Washington Wizards, has lashed out at the Jazz before. He averaged 12.1 points in three seasons with Utah, but lost his starting point guard job mid-way through his second year.
“(The Jazz) couldn’t break me. That’s what they tried to do,” Burke told a D.C. radio station last season. “They gave me DNPs. Everybody asked me what’s going on, ‘Why aren’t you playing?’ There’s a reason everybody asked me that.”
In a similar jab during this year’s NBA playoffs, Matt Barnes jokingly said the Golden State Warriors were rooting for the Los Angeles Clippers to face them in the second round because the nightlife in Los Angeles is much better than Salt Lake City.
