Allen Iverson apologized on Tuesday for missing the Big3's stop in Dallas over the weekend and said he has spoken directly with league founder Ice Cube about his absence.

On his Instagram account, Iverson apologized to the league, the fans and "everyone disappointed" in his absence.

He didn't give a reason for not making the trip, but said that he will make it up moving forward.

Following Sunday's games, the Big3 tweeted out that it was launching an investigation into why Iverson didn't show up.

Iverson is a player-coach for the team called Three's Company, but hasn't spent much time on the court. He didn't play in a much-hyped return to Philadelphia when the Big3 Tour made a stop there a few weeks back.
