Dwyane Wade to come off bench for Cavaliers after slow start

Dwyane Wade's first three games as a Cleveland Cavalier — he averaged 5.7 points on 28% shooting — were enough to move the future Hall of Famer from the starting lineup to the bench.

Cavs coach Ty Lue told reporters at practice on Monday that J.R. Smith will be back in the starting lineup at shooting guard — a move that Lue said Wade asked for.

"That's what professionals do," Lue said. "No ego. He saw it was best for the team for him to come off the bench. It was his call."

Wade, 35, has been a starter his entire career, but may be best suited in Cleveland as the leader of the second unit. He has scored in single digits in all three games this season for the 2-1 Cavs.

"I'm trying to find it, man," Wade said after his five-point outing against the Orlando Magic on Saturday. "It's very different. It's (more) different than I've ever played. Just trying to find my way, trying to see, as we go on, see how I can be best for this team."
