Rockets' Chris Paul to miss Friday's reunion game vs. Clippers

The Chris Paul-Los Angeles Clippers reunion game will have to wait.
The Houston Rockets point guard was ruled out for Friday night’s home game against his former squad with a sore adductor in his left thigh, according to coach Mike D’Antoni.
Paul left early in the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, snapping Houston’s 14-game winning streak, and D’Antoni called Paul day-to-day. D’Antoni said the latest injury wasn’t related to the bruised knee that forced him out for 14 games.
“I think he’s day-to-day, but we’re going to be real cautious with it, I’m sure,” D’Antoni said. “The good thing is he shut it down immediately.”
The 122-116 loss was the Rockets’ first with Paul in the lineup.
He could face his former team Jan. 15 in Los Angeles is healthy.
His next chance to take the court will be on Christmas Day at Oklahoma City.
