2018 NBA All-Star Game on TNT, TBS sees uptick against Winter Olympics on NBC

Sunday’s NBA All-Star Game on TNT and TBS fared well against the Winter Olympics on NBC, posting a slight audience gain over last year’s exhibition.

The broadcast averaged a 4.3 household rating and 5.1 million viewers - with a record streaming audience factored in - in numbers announced by Turner Sports on Monday, about a 2% increase in each category.

This year’s NBA All-Star Game also performed better than the last two Winter Olympics as viewership increased 3% over 2014 and 16% over 2010.

The Olympics on NBC and NBC Sports Net earned a combined 11.8 rating to win prime time Sunday.
