The San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Lakers went to overtime Wednesday night, but viewers watching on ESPN missed out on seeing just how the game needed the extra period.

With the game tied at 108 and time winding down at the end of the fourth quarter, Lakers guard Josh Hart took a pass from Ivica Zubac and drove to the bucket to attempt a potential game-winning shot at the buzzer.

Right before the shot, however, the ESPN broadcast briefly cut to a commercial. The broadcast resumed after Hart's shot missed and time expired, with announcer Mark Jones exclaiming, "We'll go to overtime."

After Hart's shot rolled off the rim, the Lakers took control in overtime and won 122-112.
