LeBron James not considering whether Game 7 could be his last as a Cleveland Cavalier
Sunday could be LeBron James’ final game as Cleveland Cavalier.
But James isn’t thinking in those terms just yet.
Asked if he is considering whether a loss against Indiana in Game 7 on Sunday will be his last game as a Cav, James said, “No. No. The thought that if we don’t play well, it will be my last game of the year, that will probably hit my mind. But no, I haven’t thought about that.”
The outcome of Sunday’s game could have an influential impact on James’ free-agent decision this summer. A loss would end James’ streak of seven consecutive Finals appearances and send him into the offseason contemplating if Cleveland is where he should continue his career.

But let’s find out what happens in Game 7. He will be difficult to eliminate in a series finale at home. He is 4-2 in Game 7s and averages 33.2 points, 9.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists. James loves to pass, but when he needs to score, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer in the playoffs can put up points.
His last Game 7? He had a triple-double (27 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists) and helped Cleveland beat Golden State 93-89 for the NBA championship in 2016.
James has won his teams’ past four Game 7s: Miami over Boston in 2012; Miami over Indiana in 2013; Miami over San Antonio in 2013; and Cleveland over Golden State in 2016.
