Thunder's Paul George undergoes left knee scope; out six-to-eight weeks

Oklahoma City Thunder fans got their answer when Paul George's Instagram story from Wednesday curiously showed a smiling George in a hospital bed with the caption "good spirits."
The Thunder later announced that George underwent a left knee scope that will sideline him for six to eight weeks before he returns to normal offseason activities.
After the Thunder's stunning first-round exit to the Utah Jazz this postseason, the biggest question looming over the franchise was whether George would re-sign with them this offseason
George spoke positively about his time in Oklahoma City on numerous occasions and lauded playing alongside Russell Westbrook. But their meek showing in the playoffs coupled with his Game 6 line (five points on 2-of-16 shooting) sent the Thunder into the offseason on an unpleasant note. At the same time, a first-round exit was exactly what the Los Angeles Lakers had wanted to see with their sights set on George this free agency.
Once he recovers from surgery, he'll have to ask himself how comfortable he is playing with Westbrook, the reigning MVP at the centerpiece of the franchise.
