OAKLAND – Why did LeBron James wear shorts with his suit to Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night?

Well, that’s because fashion designer Thom Browne creates and wears suits with shorts.

If you check Browne’s Twitter account, his profile picture features him in a suit with shorts similar to the one James wore as he arrived for the game at Oracle Arena.

For postseason road games, Cavs players have often worn Browne-designed suits. This was the first time they busted out the shorts. Cavs guard Jordan Clarkson wore shorts with his suit as well.

“I just think it shows a sign of unity, as one, everyone wearing the same suits,” Cavs coach Ty Lue said. “I mean, it's pretty cool. Like at first, when we lost our first game, we did it, and I knew it would be a story. But overall, it just stands for unity, like as one, going on the floor, having the same jersey and uniform on. I think it's pretty cool.”
