Fake Adrian Wojnarowski Twitter account dupes fans with Kawhi Leonard-to-Lakers report

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski is one of the most important follows on Twitter when it comes to breaking NBA news.
But you got to keep your eyes out for fakes.
In recent years, people have become more adept at spotting impostor Twitter accounts for important news breakers in the sports world.
On Monday, however, a verified Twitter account bearing Adrian Wojnarowski's name and photograph burned many a twitter user with the report that free agent Kawhi Leonard had agreed to a four-year, $144-million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The user @TheTrackMamba, who's real name appears to be Aaron Ernest, enjoyed their brief moment of chaos before quickly changing their profile name and photograph back. Ernest has 6,575 followers on Twitter and is verified. That's what led to the confusion.
After changing the name back to what we assume might be their original Twitter profile name they quickly deleted the tweet, but not before it received more than 852 retweets, 989 likes and 331 replies.
As of 11:55 a.m. Arizona time, Wojnarowski or Charania had not reported any deal for Leonard.
Of course, the user went with a likely excuse.
Stay vigilant my friends.
