NBA Christmas games 2024: Time, TV and holiday schedule
The NBA may not be the biggest league playing games on Christmas anymore, but its 2024 lineup offers plenty of intrigue for those that take part in this annual basketball holiday.
There are five NBA games on the schedule Wednesday involving many of the sport's best teams and biggest stars. The storylines include Victor Wembanyama's first Christmas showcase at Madison Square Garden against Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and the New York Knicks, while the struggling Philadelphia 76ers try to right their season against the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics.
There's also Luka Doncic vs. Anthony Edwards, Steph Curry vs. LeBron James and Nikola Jokic vs. Devin Booker and Kevin Durant on the docket, which does not include any of the top three teams in the current Western Conference standings (Oklahoma City Thunder, Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets). The five Christmas matchups will feature seven of the league's top-10 most-viewed players on social media this season, according to the NBA.
