NBA All-Star reserves: Spurs' Victor Wembanyama among six first-time honorees
The 2024-25 NBA All-Star teams are now officially complete.
One week after the starters for the Eastern and Western Conference teams were unveiled, reserves were announced Thursday night during a TNT broadcast of “NBA Tip-Off,” which was previewing an Atlanta Hawks-Cleveland Cavaliers and Houston Rockets-Memphis Grizzlies doubleheader.
The seven reserve players per conference were selected by the 30 NBA coaches, with the caveat that they are not allowed to vote for players on their teams.
There were six first-time honorees selected among the 14 reserves.
The All-Star Game, operating under a new format, will take place Feb. 16 in San Francisco, at the Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors.
