2025 NBA All-Star Game: Date, time, TV, teams and new format info

NBA All-Star Weekend is finally here and will take place in the San Francisco Bay Area, starting Feb. 14. This year, the format of the NBA All-Star Game will feature a tournament-style competition.
The NBA All-Star roster is a constellation of the biggest names in basketball. The Western Conference, led by the legendary LeBron James, will witness a record 21st consecutive All-Star appearance. He will be joined by other luminaries such as Nikola Jokic, Kevin Durant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Stephen Curry. This star-studded lineup is sure to set the court ablaze with their electrifying competition.
In the Eastern Conference, Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo was initially named to the roster. However, due to an injury, he will be replaced by Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young, who has been in impressive form this season. Young will be joined by fellow starters: Boston Celtics' Jayson Tatum, Cleveland Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell and Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns of the New York Knicks.

- Team Shaq: LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum, Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, James Harden, Jaylen Brown and Anthony Davis.
- Team Chuck: Donovon Mitchell, Nikola Jokic, Trae Young, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Victor Wembanyama, Pascal Siakam, Alperen Sengun and Karl-Anthony Towns.
- Team Kenny: Anthony Edwards, Jalen Brunson, Jaren Jackson Jr., Cade Cunningham, Darius Garland, Tyler Herro, Evan Mobley and Jalen Williams.
What is the new NBA All-Star format?
The 2025 NBA All-Star Game will feature a tournament format with four teams: Team Chuck, Team Shaq, Team Kenny, and Team Candace, created by the Rising Stars event winner.
The four teams will compete in two semifinal games, with the winners advancing to the championship.
The main event will take place on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 8 p.m. ET, and it will be broadcast on TNT.
