It wouldn't be the NBA's play-in tournament without a game between the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat at this point.

For the third year in a row, the two teams will meet in the postseason before the NBA playoffs begin. Wednesday's matchup is an elimination game after the Bulls and Heat finished ninth and 10th, respectively, in the Eastern Conference standings this season. The winner will go on the road against Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks on Friday with a chance to claim the No. 8 seed in the East bracket and play a first-round series against the No. 1 seed Cleveland Cavaliers starting on Sunday.

The Bulls (39-43) closed the regular season strong with 10 wins in their final 13 games as a young core featuring guard Coby White, forward Josh Giddey and rookie Mata Buzelis came into its own. The Heat (37-45) had a tumultuous season because of the Jimmy Butler trade, but clawed their way back into the play-in tournament with Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo still in the fold alongside Andrew Wiggins.

The Bulls swept the regular-season series between these two teams, including a 119-11 win over the Heat on April 9. But oddsmakers predict a close score on Wednesday. Here's how to watch the 2025 play-in tournament game between the Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls:
