Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals between Golden State and Minnesota is slated for Thursday, and Curry is certain to miss it. The Warriors have already announced their star suffered a Grade 1 strain of his hamstring and will be re-evaluated in one week. That means Golden State will have to steal another game on the road behind the nucleus of Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green and Buddy Hield after that trio paced the Warriors to a 99-88 Game 1 win.
The Timberwolves will try to rebound from a dreadful offensive performance facing a zone defense from Golden State for large portions of the action. Anthony Edwards was limited to one point in the first half and Minnesota shot 7 of 47 from 3-point range. But given Curry's expected absence beyond Thursday, oddsmakers continue to view Minnesota as the favorite in this series.
