Bucks trade for Greivis Vasquez from Toronto

The Milwaukee Bucks acquired guard Greivis Vasquez from the Toronto Raptors for a 2017 first-round pick and the 46th pick in Thursday's NBA draft, a person with direct knowledge of the deal told Paste BN Sports.

The person requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly until the deal was officially announced.

The Bucks get a solid backup guard in Vasquez who at 6-6 can play either guard spot – point or shooting. Vasquez, a decent three-pointer shooter, can also rebound and deliver assists.

The first-round pick that Milwaukee, via the Los Angeles Clippers, sent to Toronto is lottery protected for 2017, 2018 and 2019 and turns into two second round picks (one in 2020 and one in 2021) if a first-round pick is not conveyed to Toronto.
