Cavs' Tristan Thompson could miss a month with calf injury

Cleveland Cavaliers big man Tristan Thompson could miss a month with a left calf injury he suffered during Wednesday night's loss to the Indiana Pacers, a person with knowledge of the injury confirmed to Paste BN Sports. The person spoke under the condition of anonymity because a timetable for Thompson's return had not yet been announced.
Thompson, now in his seventh NBA season, is averaging just 4.4 points and 6.4 rebounds in 21.6 minutes per game for the 3-5 Cavs. Cleveland has now lost four straight games.
Thompson, who had his streak of 447 consecutive games played snapped last April, has never missed more than six games in a season.
The struggling Cavaliers are also without All-Star point guard Isaiah Thomas, who is expected to be sidelined until January.
"We have an opportunity to be very good, but then you see some of the lulls that we have, it's just very difficult on our team right now," James told reporters Wednesday night. "We're just trying to figure it out on the fly. ... Our team is kind of depleted, as well, both on and off the floor."
The Vertical first reported Thompson's timetable for return.
