Doug McDermott traded to Chicago from Denver
The Chicago Bulls landed Creighton's Doug McDermott via trade in Thursday night's draft, agreeing to send their No. 16, No. 19 first-round picks, and a second-round pick for 2015 to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for the player who was selected with their No. 11 pick as well as veteran small forward Anthony Randolph, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.
The person spoke to Paste BN Sports on condition of anonymity because of the private nature of trade discussions.
McDermott will fit in nicely with the Bulls, known for being a defensive-minded team. He's a big-time scorer who leaves college basketball as the fifth all-time leading scorer. The Nuggets, by way of the Bulls, selected Croatian Jusuf Nurkic with the 16th pick and took former Michigan State shooting guard Gary Harris at No. 19.
