NBA draft 2025: From draft order to odds, everything you need to know
The 2025 NBA Draft is nearly here. Every team is deep into their predraft process, but it's a very easy first-round pick for the Dallas Mavericks.
It was just two years ago when Victor Wembanyama was the sure-fire first overall pick, now the Mavericks have the same luxury after a lucky lottery handed them the opportunity to select Duke's Cooper Flagg despite just a 1.8% chance of landing the first pick.
The real draft starts at pick No. 2. The San Antonio Spurs have been on a great run wit rookies as of late with Wembanyama and Stephon Castle helping accelerate the franchise's rebuild. Will they find another great addition with the second pick this year?

When is 2025 NBA Draft?
Round 1 of the NBA draft takes place on Wednesday, June 25 at 8 p.m. ET. The draft is being held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Day 1 of the draft can be viewed on ESPN and ABC.

While the No. 1 pick is all but assured, the rest of the first round isn't so certain. In fact, there's even a good amount of possible outcomes within the first 10 picks. The San Antonio Spurs are expected to take Dylan Harper from Rutgers (-5000 odds), with other prospects such as Ace Bailey (+2000) and VJ Edgecombe (+2200) trailing behind.

Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo, ESPN: Ace Bailey falls, Kon Knueppel rises
ESPN's experts believe Rutgers' Ace Bailey will fall outside the top-five picks, despite being one of the favorites to go at pick 3 or 4. Givony writes, "Bailey's predraft workout strategy has perplexed some observers, as he has yet to conduct a single known workout to date, having declined invitations from several teams within his draft range. Sources say Bailey's camp has informed interested teams that they believe he is a top-3 player in the draft but also seeks a clear pathway to stardom, perhaps feeling comfortable that a team will trade up to get him at Nos. 3 or 4, should he drop."
In regards to Knueppel, Givony writes, "Knueppel has some real fans among NBA teams in this portion of the draft, with proponents highlighting his elite movement and spot-up shooting, defensive smarts and playmaking, as well as an analytics-friendly profile that shines through in team draft models."
Jonathan Wasserman, Bleacher Report: Maluach goes No. 4 to Charlotte
Wasserman writes, "The combine confirmed what scouts expected: Khaman Maluach has wild measurements, including 7-1 size barefoot, a 7-7 wingspan, a 9-6 standing reach and oversized hands that help him finish around the rim. The buzz and interest have been snowballing to the point where it seems like Maluach may be in play once Cooper Flagg and Dylan Harper are off the board."
Jason Radowitz, OddsChecker: Knueppel likely to go No. 4
Radowitz believes that this all comes down to whether or not Ace Bailey is selected at No. 3. If so, Radowitz believes that Bailey will be too enticing to fall any lower. However, if Bailey goes third overall, Knueppel could be Charlotte's pick considering his shooting and playmaking abilities, skills that Charlotte desperately needs.
