Matt Barnes traded to Grizzlies from Hornets

The Memphis Grizzlies acquired veteran small forward Matt Barnes from the Charlotte Hornets Thursday, getting him for Luke Ridnour, according to a person familiar with the deal.

The person spoke to Paste BN Sports on condition of anonymity because the deal hasn't been made public.

Barnes should fit in with the Grizzlies gritty style and he also gives them a defender who can fit into small ball lineups. Barnes was traded to the Hornets recently by the Los Angeles Clippers in a deal that sent Lance Stephenson to L.A.
