If you're going to a Miami Heat game at American Airlines Arena this upcoming season, you'll have to bring your smartphone.

The Heat announced Thursday that they will become the first team in the NBA with mobile-only entry, according to ESPN.

The Heat said in a statement that the move was made because approximately one in three ticket holders used their phones to enter the arena last season.

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers offer mobile-only options, but those teams allow patrons to use a driver's license and credit card for entry, according to ESPN.
