Grant, a four-year player for the Irish and son of former NBA player Harvey Grant, is one of several 6-5 point guards in the draft and capable of getting to the basket and either finishing or finding the open shooter.

The Hawks traded down to the 19th pick, giving the Washington Wizards the 15th pick. Washington selected Kansas guard Kelly Oubre with that pick and sent 2016 and 2019 second-round picks to the Hawks. Trying to protect cap space for free agency in July, the Hawks unloaded their 2015 first-round pick.
