Kristaps Porzingis rekindles friendship with crying Knicks fan

If there was one everlasting image from this summer’s NBA draft, it was of the infamous young Knicks fan crying at the team’s selection of seven-foot Latvian Kristaps Porzingis.

Never mind that Porzingis has developed a cult following (“Godzingis”) and is in the running for rookie of the year thanks to his 13.9 points per game and 7.9 rebounds. The NBA’s introduction to Porzingis was permanently tied to that distraught kid.

But time (and double-doubles) heals all wounds. In December, our man was spotted rocking a Porzingis jersey at Madison Square Garden. Now he’s taking pictures with the man himself.

Credit to Porzingis for winning over his biggest critic in just two short months.
