Pacers' Myles Turner turns epic clapback at upset fan into Texas fundraiser

Myles Turner's performance in the Indiana Pacers' 120-112 overtime loss Monday to the Chicago Bulls was not up to his usual standards this season: 2-of-10 shooting, including 1-of-6 on 3-pointers, 11 points, six rebounds, six blocks and five fouls.

One fan was apparently so upset with Turner's play, he sent Turner a Venmo request for $100.

In response, Turner sent the fan one cent, saying, "Here's a penny for your thoughts"

The person was unhappy with Turner's response and tweeted a screenshot of the Venmo payment. The Pacers center continued to roast the fan, responding, "don't dish it out if you can't take it."

Other fans enjoyed Turner's responses so much, they began to send him Venmo payments, including some offering their "two cents" on the situation. So Turner has taken it one step further, tweeting that he'll match that and any further donations he receives and give it to families in need in his home state of Texas, which has been devastated by winter weather.

"I'm already at 250 Dollars! From y'all's " 2 Cents" let's get it!" he wrote on Twitter.

Turner's career has had its ups and downs, including being offered to the Boston Celtics in a potential deal for Gordon Hayward this offseason, but he's having his best year, Monday's performance notwithstanding. Turner leads the NBA with 3.5 blocks per game, to go with 13.2 points and 6.6 rebounds.
