Kenneth Faried says he will play Tuesday for Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets will have an extra weapon on Tuesday. After missing Game 1 with a sprained ankle, power forward Kenneth Faried told reporters that he will play against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday.
Faried hurt his ankle against the Portland Trail Blazers on April 14 and missed Denver's final two regular-season games. He was in uniform on Saturday but did not play as the Nuggets pulled out a 97-95 win to take a 1-0 series lead over the Warriors.
Faried averaged 11.5 points and 9.2 rebounds a game as the Nuggets' starting power forward during the 2012-13 regular season.
The news comes on the same day Paste BN Sports' Sam Amick reported the Warriors will be without their All-Star power forward and top rebounder David Lee because of a hip flexor tear. If Faried comes back full strength, the Nuggets could own the boards the rest of the way.
