Warriors' Harrison Barnes takes scary fall in Game 6

Golden State Warriors rookie forward Harrison Barnes left Thursday's Game 6 vs. the San Antonio Spurs after taking a hard fall. Barnes collided with Spurs center Boris Diaw and stayed on the ground for several minutes before standing up and being helped to the locker room by trainers.

According to ESPN's Doris Burke, Barnes suffered a cut above his right eye that required six stitches. He checked back into the game for the start of the third quarter.

Barnes left the game in the fourth quarter with a headache.

Barnes was Golden State's second-leading scorer in the game with 8 points before the injury. He had been a major part of both the Warriors' first-round upset of the Denver Nuggets and their success in the second round against the Spurs. But the team faced elimination Thursday, trailing 3-2 for the home game.

Barnes, the seventh overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, was named to the All-Rookie first team after an outstanding season in which he averaged 9.2 points and 4.1 rebounds a game. He had scored at least 25 points in the Warriors' previous two games against the Spurs.
