Raptors' DeMarre Carroll, Heat's Luol Deng both questionable for Game 6

The Toronto Raptors and Miami Heat were both stung by the injury bug once again in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference semifinals series on Wednesday night when DeMarre Carroll and Luol Deng both left the game with wrist injuries.

Carroll's injury occurred late in the third quarter when he went down awkwardly on his left hand while attempting a layup. He didn't return to the game. Initial X-rays came back negative, and after further testing, the team announced that he is questionable for Game 6 on Friday in Miami.

According to Carroll, he expects to play.

"My wrist is great," Carroll said, per the Sun Sentinel. "It's all right. It's one of those things. I got positive feedback from the MRI, from the X-ray. If it ain't broke, with me, I'm ready to play."

Deng's injury occurred when he tripped over a cameraman in the first half. After trying to play through the pain, he left the game in the third quarter as the swelling increased. He said he'll be playing in Game 6 if the injury isn't anything serious. He underwent an MRI that showed he suffered a bruised left wrist, the team announced Thursday. He is listed as questionable,

Carroll and Deng join Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas (ankle) and Heat center Hassan Whiteside (knee) among the players who went down with injuries earlier in the series.

The Raptors hung on 99-91 to take a 3-2 series lead.
