Game 2 of the NBA Finals as it happened

Back for more! Re-live Game 2 of the NBA Finals as the Warriors picked apart the Cavs' defense and put Cleveland in a 2-0 hole.

Final: Warriors 110, Cavs 77

Stephen Curry sat on the bench celebrating his team's easy Finals victory. LeBron James could hardly watch. A series that some initially thought could go the distance looks decidedly one-sided in favor of the defending NBA champions, who are now up 2-0.

Stephen Curry back on the court

Stephen Curry came out with around 7:00 left with the game already decided. The Cavs were disjointed and sloppy, each Warriors' bucket adding more insult to injury.

When your team is just fine even if you're hanging on the bench ...

Kevin Love back to the locker room

Cavs forward Kevin Love left the bench and went back to the locker room, apparently a result of the second quarter elbow he caught from Barnes. On the court, Draymond Green continued to bury shots from beyond the arc, keeping the Warriors' lead at double-digits.

HALFTIME! Warriors 52-44

The Cavs are dancing an extremely fine line with their offense, not that they have many other options. LeBron took it upon himself to dictate and execute the entire offensive scheme late in the second quarter with the Warriors threatening to run the Cavs out of Oracle Arena.

The Warriors, in contrast, has excellent ball movement, hustled for loose balls and outworked the Cavs on the glass. Their nine offensive rebounds continued to demoralize the Cavs while Golden State found its three-point stroke. Draymond Green (3), Steph Curry (2) and Klay Thompson (2) accounted for all of the Warriors' three-pointers, which was plenty. Key numbers? The Cavs shot 35% in the first half while the Warriors had 14 first half assists. Green has 18 points going into the half.

Kevin Love hurt

Kevin Love took an elbow from Harrison Barnes to the back of the head and was down for a few moments. He stayed in the game and buried a three-pointer soon after, but after last postseason, that's hardly what the Cavs want to see.

End of the 1st quarter: Cavs 21, Warriors 19

The beginning of Game 2 was played at a much more favorable, slower pace, at least from the Cavs' perspective. Tristan Thompson (8 points) was extremely active, as usual, while LeBron James played faciliator more than scorer. James had five assists and three steals in the early going, but Draymond Green was equally as effective.
