Atlanta Hawks center Dwight Howard was pulled over for speeding the morning of his team’s first-round Game 6 loss, according to a police report obtained by the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Howard was pulled over by Dunwoody, Georgia police in the early morning hours of April 28 for going 95 in a 65 MPH zone, the report said. After pulling him over, police learned Howard was driving on a suspended registration and without insurance.

Howard was reportedly “confused” by the police's findings and claimed he did indeed have insurance but was unable to provide proof to police.

Howard was given a ticket for driving without insurance and then given a verbal warning for speeding. Police later had Howard’s car towed.

Later that night the Hawks were eliminated in Game 6 when the Washington Wizards went on the road and won 115-99. Howard averaged eight points and 10.7 rebounds this postseason, numbers that were significantly lower than his season averages.
