A reporter who covers the Golden State Warriors was caught on video taking a security guard's jacket following a practice in San Antonio last week, according to multiple reports published Monday.

The Athletic reported that the video shows ABC7/KGO TV anchor Mike Shumann grabbing a jacket belonging to Warriors director of team security, Ralph Walker, as Shumann exited the AT&T Center.

In a statement issued to the outlet, a KGO spokesperson said: “We are taking these allegations very seriously and conducting a full investigation. As a matter of policy, we do not comment about personnel matters.”

Shumann, a former San Francisco 49ers receiver and Super Bowl winner, was not part of ABC7's postgame segment Sunday following the Warriors' Game 4 loss to the San Antonio Spurs and has been sent home, according to The Athletic.

Several Warriors players reportedly are upset with the way the incident has been handled and believe Shumann, a longtime reporter in the Bay Area, has been given preferential treatment.

Shumann has been granted exclusive interviews with players as part of a reported agreement between the Warriors and KGO. Following the incident, players may refuse to participate in those interviews, The Athletic reported.

Shumann has apologized to several members of the team, according to the report.
