Sure, the Warriors are still the heavy favorites to win it all yet again, but last year's near loss to the Houston Rockets adds a lot more intrigue in the Western Conference.
As for the Eastern Conference, the absence of LeBron James leaves the door open for a handful of teams to get over the hump.
