Raptors Dwane Casey gets contract extension
The Toronto Raptors and coach Dwane Casey have reached in deal in principle on a three-year, $18 million extension that runs through the 2018-19 season, a person familiar with negotiations told Paste BN Sports.
The person requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly until the deal is official.
Casey led the Raptors to a franchise-best 56 victories and took the Raptors to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time in franchise history.
Casey is 210-184 in his five seasons with the Raptors. He is credited for turning the Raptors into a solid defensive team and improved offensive team.
