Who should win Rookie of the Year: Victor Wembanyama or Chet Holmgren?

While guys like Brandon Miller, Jaime Jaquez Jr., and Brandin Podziemski have been solid this season, the NBA Rookie of the Year race has truly come down to a two-man competition: San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama and Oklahoma City Thunder big man Chet Holmgren. Those are the top two candidates right now.

Wembanyama clearly has the talent to be the face of the Spurs organization for years to come. His talent on both ends is nothing short of incredible. A similar statement can be made about Holmgren, and his Thunder are sitting atop the West, unlike the Spurs. However, Wembanyama is the top option on his team, while Holmgren is not.

There are good arguments for both players to take home the award, and the First Take crew recently discussed them on ESPN.

Wembanyama has put together a better season on worse efficiency, while Holmgren has impacted winning at a higher level as the second option. Who should win?
