Phoenix Suns' free agent guard TyTy Washington Jr., who spent last season with the organization on a two-way contract, is joining the Los Angeles Clippers.

ESPN's Shams Charania reported in an X post on July 26 that Washington was signing a one-year contract with the Clippers.

Washington is a Phoenix native who played high school ball at Cesar Chavez High School and AZ Compass Prep. He played one year of college basketball at Kentucky.

He was drafted in the first round of the 2022 NBA draft by Memphis but ended up with the Houston Rockets organization for his rookie season, then Milwaukee the following year, before the Suns picked him up last season.

Washington spent most of the 2024-25 season playing for the Valley Suns G League team, where he averaged 22.3 points and 7.3 assists in 23 games. He appeared in 16 games for the Suns, averaging 2.2 points and one assist per game.
