Report: Warriors' Steve Kerr unsure about whether he'll coach in NBA Finals

Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr, still in an immense amount of pain from back surgeries, told The Undefeated he is “just day-by-day” and unsure of his status to coach in the NBA Finals after missing 10 playoff games on Golden State’s title pursuit.
The Warriors swept the San Antonio Spurs and reached their third consecutive Finals on Monday night. Kerr did travel to San Antonio and was a presence in the locker room, but assistant Mike Brown was the main coach on the sideline.
“(Kerr) is still there. He’s in the locker room. He’s around. His imprint is all over this. I don’t view it as he’s not here; he’s just not on the bench,” Golden State owner Joe Lacob told ESPN.
“I told him the other day, ‘I don’t even want to think about anything other than winning championships. You can contribute in any way you can, and we’ll worry about the future in the future.’ ”
The Warriors will host the Cavaliers or Celtics in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on June 1.
