The Golden State Warriors will be without star forward for at least the first game of the Western Conference finals against the Portland Trail Blazers, according to an ESPN report.
Durant suffered a strained calf muscle in Game 5 of the Warriors' second-round NBA playoff series against the Houston Rockets. He missed the series-clinching Game 6 victory with the team saying he would be re-evaluated this week.
ESPN reports Durant will undergo an exam on Thursday, which will force him to miss the series opener Tuesday in Oakland. The unnamed source also told ESPN it's unlikely Durant would be able to play in Game 2 on Thursday.
